Celebration of the seminar “A challenge for the new jurists: to be trained for a global society”.
Monday October 7th, Sala de Juntes of the Faculty.
Since years ago, a group of professors from different universities from around the world, work about the possibility of developing a better legal training to give the future professionals the possibility to work in a global context and to be able to understand the basic legal institutions from different perspectives.
In this sense, in the European level we are working on the idea of a future european jurist. And in the global level, we have iniciated the Global Legal Education Associations Consortium (GLEAC) to study the degree in a global scope. Obviously, we have meetings, idea discussions, but nothing solid. It is only restlessness, doubts and possible actions for the future.
It is in this context that next Monday, October 7th, at the Sala of Juntes of the Faculty, we will celebrate the seminar “A challenge for the new jurists: to be trained for a global society.“
The seminar’s aim is to debate from different legal systems and perspectives, whether law faculties should have more methods to prepare young jurist for international relations in a globalised society.
This seminar will be presented by:
- Thomas Wilson, Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indiana, USA
- Ramon Santacana, Providence University, Taiwan
- Liu Yi-Sheng, Providence University, Taiwan
- Josep Ma. de Dios
This seminar is open for everyone in the Faculty and the discussions will be very enriching for further projects. That is the reason why we would love your suggestions and participation.
